I just came across Jose Guapo and I have to say he has slight potential and it shows in this mixtape. His style of music is the "get money" music that’s popping right now. He executes it in the typical mediocre way . I didn’t hear any immediate street bangers other than “Some Mo”. Jose does have crossover potential if he can put songs out that appeal to more audiences, he definitely could go further. With the fleet of young up and coming rappers right now he has to have something about him that stands out, especially in his corner of the hip hop world. The metaphors were sub par and  the beats could have been better, but in the same breath I say he can do better based simply on this mixtape. I wouldn’t say that he will be a major star but he does have the possibility of becoming a bigger name in the underground  with better beats and work on his craft.

This is A.G Cubano's Debut mixtape on Maybach Music/ Maybach Music Latino and he went hard. This mixtape shows growth from his other mixtapes his sound is better and his delivery seems polished. The mixtape is filled with key features from his label mates Nephew and U.B, latin heavy hitters like N.O.R.E and Pitbull. Comparing his previous mixtapes to POWER TRIP one word that just comes to mind is GROWTH! The artwork is very pleasing to the eye, bright, easy to read and representation of where he's from and where he's going.

G. Smooth is a buzzing rap artist from Alabama. His third mixtape, Elevation Music, was released last Thursday on livemixtapes.com. I pulled out my headphones inserted into my laptop and proceeded to listen INTENSELY! Lol ok not that serious, but I did take notes...

G. Smooth tells different stories in each track. Tracks like "We Go" describes the hard times and the good times that we all go through as human beings. Tells a story of his childhood and the struggles he has gone through growing up.  I don't like comparing artist but he's like a Dee-1 and a BIG K.R.I.T because he's a southern artist that brings soul and meaning into his music.  He has variety within his mixtape which I personally like because it shows the artist is versatile. "Million Dollar Scheme" gives a light beat with heavy lyrics from G.Smooth feat. Da Synik describing they're team AUDIBLE HUSTLE Ent.  "Freakin" feat. Dnillz , who sings the chorus, is a song for the ladies. G. Smooth gets real smooth when he describes all the things he will do to his lady friend! 

All in All I give this Mixtape a B+
